objects context history who cares

Wood Marquetry Inlay
by NJ Roseti, CA

NJ Rosetti is creating objects for a fantasy world in which technology is subdued. This escapist vision is put forth in each work by featuring natural wood grain dominating small accents of saturated color. His blocky, Tetris-like forms and distorted profiles are manifestations of simplistic digital constructions that fail to impress on-screen but pack a punch IRL. His work symbolically positions artifice as a vehicle for championing idealized nature.
