Beacon Lights
By Erin Lorek, USA

The Beacon Pendant by Erin Lorek calls upon her experience as a professional lighting rigger in the theatre and entertainment industry. Erin strategically reduces the light’s elements to only the most essential, and hones those elements so as to emphasize the elegance of the lighting effects that result from their interaction. The large and small thickly cast glass disk are free-formed by ladling glass onto a centrifugal cast iron mold with custom texture. As the light passes through them and bounces and refracts between their irregular surfaces, it also catches on thick rounded rims, resulting in a glowing aura surrounding a dappled light.

A variety of six different textures, paired with adjustable stainless steel hardware both above and below, allow each Beacon installation to be completely customized to the environment and entirely unique.
